Who is Anna?

Ocean lover, night owl, globetrotter, 90s baby, extreme bruncher, Leslie Knope fan, pink wine connoisseur – all epithets that essentially just indicate another bog standard millenial, but I hope to deliver you a little more than that.

I originally hail from Wellington, New Zealand – but at present, I’m lucky enough to call Berlin, Germany my home, and I’ve been pounding the pavements of Kreuzberg for over a year now. Moving overseas as an adult has been a rollercoaster to say the very least – the lessons learned, tears shed, and the memories made so far have started to give me an insight into what it means to be a grown up (no fear of that anytime soon) – and I don’t regret one second of the crazy ride so far. I’m excited to see how my expat journey progresses (hopefully you might be too) and in the event that I learn something actually useful, I’ll be sure to share it with you here.

I was lucky enough to grow up in a family that loves to travel and loves to eat, two passions that have followed me relentlessly into my twenties, and remain two extremely strong driving forces in my daily grind – so you can expect to see a fair bit of adventure related prose/praise on this blog. A few of the other places I have been privileged enough to call home at one time or another are:

– Adelaide, Australia
– London, UK
– Hamburg, Germany
– Hong Kong, China
